I love living in the North of England.  We might get the brunt of the weather for most of the year, but I wouldn’t change it for the World.

Were it not for all the rain, it wouldn’t be so green and when I lived in Suffolk, the one thing I missed most of all, was the hills.

The landscape of the North is beautiful, whatever the weather, but when the sun is shining, it is particularly picturesque.

Phill, Beth and I spent today enjoying the beautiful weather in the Lake District.

We had a picnic and ate ice-cream; we fed the swans and took the river cruise to Ambleside.

No bright lights, nothing fast paced, just the three of us and Lake Windermere.  It was lovely.  How was your weekend?
