Can you believe we’re already one third of the way through 2012?? In a couple more months, the Christmas cards may well be on the shelves!
I started this year with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I was and am still going through some challenging times, but on the other I was full of optimism for the future. This, I remember thinking, was the year when everything would happen.
So far I have been right. Already in 2012 we have moved house, got married and started on the journey towards adopting a child. Not bad for four months right?!
I thought I’d share with you some of the most popular posts from the year so far.
January: A Time For Resolutions: I wonder how many people have stuck to the resolutions they made at the time this was posted? I’ve definitely managed some of them and …definitely…tried with the rest!
How To make Sweetheart Shortbread: Are you all hopeless romantics….or just do you all just have a sweet tooth? I can’t decide
The Lioness and Her Cub: I had a huge amount of positive feedback from readers about this post. It seems that a lot of you feel or have felt the same way as me at some point. A lot has changed for my little cub and I already this year, but the most important things remain the same. x
Stop The Debate, you’re All Beautiful: the debate continues unfortunately
Deciding To Adopt: Im still questioning whether it was the right thing to do, to be open about our decision to adopt a child, but I hope that in the long run, doing so so will gain us some much needed moral support when we need it and that perhaps at some time in the future, our experience might help others.
How To Make Wall Decorations Out Of Cherished Fabrics: Now hung on the wall in our new home, this is how they look…they seem to have multiplied :-S
Kirstie Allsopp: Craft – book review. You lovelies have been jumping all over my book reviews and there are some great titles set for release this Summer….I can’t wait!
We haven’t finished unpacking and decorating yet and sadly our adoption plans seem no further along than they did in January; but eventually everything will be done. Every day that goes by, brings us one step closer to the life, we have always dreamed of and in the meantime, this life is not too shabby
