I woke up this morning with extremely long hair…I’m not joking, look at this.

This is not the first time I have had hair of epic lengths, my hair grows quite quickly and it seems that everytime it is cut, I instantly miss it and start growing it again.

I decided to grow my hair many months ago ready for Mine and Phill’s Wedding.  I wasn’t sure at the time how I wanted to have my hair on the big day, but I figured that having the length would increase my options.

Ans so it grew….

It might not look it in the photo because it was quite dry and had been rained on, but despite it’s length and the general lack of upkeep I have afforded it over the last few months, my hair was in good condition.  My mindset however was not.  I have been feeling a little dowdy of late and was ready for a drastic change to my appearance.  Like this…

After Chris the stylist cut off over 1ft of hair I begged him to make it even shorter!  Though long hair is lovely, mine is so thick at the back that I just couldn’t create any of the styles that I love.  There was too much length for victory rolls, too much weight for bombshell curls.  My hair would get so knotty and took forever to wash and dry; frankly all the fun had gone.  I know alot of people struggle to grow their hair and probably think I’m crazy, but I just didn’t feel pretty at all.

Now I just feel like me again!! I LOVE this new cut!  I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the best I’ve ever had and the colour just makes me smile.  This is the first time I have visited this particular Salon (which is Hair on the Square, Buckshaw Village), but I was so impressed that I have booked them for my wedding hair!
