Be a social butterfly...

You all know I love vintage jewellery.  I have hips that just won’t fit into vintage clothes so reproduction dresses are the only way for me…..but jewellery is one size fits all and I’m a bit of a magpie!

I have alot of delicate little vintage pieces, but I wanted something that would suit some of my more rockabilly outfits and I found this little beauty at House of Frazer.

Morgan is one of those brands that I really liked when I was a teenager, but in recent years I’d forgotten about it – I’m pleased to see that it’s apparently making a comback with some mopre funky wearable jewellery pieces.

Of course it isn’t vintage but it is beautifully made – my angel wings necklace features, marquesite and little bagette cut crystals on a pair of wings that actaully move.  Because the wings aren’t static, the necklace is comfortable to wear and the chunky gold tone chain gives the look a harder, modern edge (yes you read that correctly – I do like a modern edge from time to time 🙂 ).

I don’t do well with anything other than silver or gold against my skin so I’ve been wearing this with a cap sleaved turtle neck, 50s style black turn-up jeans and big retro curls or rockabilly head scarves – but I think this necklace would look great with all sorts of styles.

What do you think?

Love Rachel

  • That piece of jewellery is absolutely beautiful 🙂 Infact you actually remind of a character in a book I was working on last year, You have just given me inspiration to restart it 🙂

Haha! That sounds exciting! If I remind you of the character, you must let em read it 🙂
